Moving On Up Y'all

On February 22nd 2011, Shelby Selman and I signed the lease to the greatest apartment in the world. After months of waiting, planning, and nearly exploding with excitement, Northcutt Realty told us we could move in earlier than our lease stated. It sounded too good to be true. And it was. Turns out the apartment that they showed us did not match the apartment the assigned us. The one we were shown had hard wood and normal colored carpet. The one we were assigned had the most hideous linoleum that 1997 had to offer. I'm still trying to figure out what color the carpet was. So God sent us an angel in the form of Shelby's mother. Cindy basically told Northcutt to get it together or they will be paying us to live there. They took what she said seriously, and we now have wood floors and carpet from at least 2005.
So on Saturday it was time to move on up y'all. We felt just like the Jeffersons. So after lots of heavy lifting from my brothers,Eric, mom, Jon, Scott and Cindy, we had all of our junk basically in piles all over the apartment. After a a couple of hours it was starting to look legit. Unfortunately, Shelby had to go to New York on Sunday. So it will not be finished til probably this coming Saturday. But don't worry, we will post pictures.
For Shelby this blog will be mostly about her crafts and handy work in the apartment. For me, it will mostly be adventures of Shelby, and all the dumb stuff she says on a regular basis. Ive added pictures for your enjoyment.
She's adorable. Truly.
Even though she is a completely insane most of the time, I still love her.
